Dear Supporters,

Firstly, I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and I know you’re all as excited as we are to get back going again!

We’re about to embark on the second half of this season against Bishop’s Stortford, and we’re going to look to extend our 100 per cent record at the Brickfields when we take to the field once more.

Our nine wins so far in 2023-24 have put us third in the table heading into our 15th game of the season, and everyone’s buzzing about our strong form so far.

A huge part of our success this term – both home and away – has been all of you. Not only do we have arguably the best support in the division at home, but the sheer volume of you that travel to watch us play away is never something that any of us are going to take for granted.

The support you all have for this club is unwavering, and you have proven that time and time again in recent years. It’s no secret that the covid years were hard on us as a club, so they were for everyone. If you cast your minds back a couple of years ago, many of you will remember all too well the difficulties we experienced on and off the pitch. We struggled to field a team at some games.

Since then though, we have pulled ourselves up and, almost unthinkably, we’ve recovered back to an excellent place in such a short space of time. Ryan Lamb, Aaron Jarvis and the entire playing squad have made every one of us extremely proud along the way.

There is so much to be excited about, not just this season, but over the next few years too, and we’re looking forward to having you side-by-side with us throughout every step of the journey.

Thank you everyone, and see you on Saturday!

Max Venables
